We are delighted to have obtained Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent (LBC) for the conversion of Upper Paradise Mill. The mill, which was built around 1860, was operated by Cartwright & Sheldon silk weavers from 1912 until 1981, at which point Upper Paradise Mill was converted to offices. The building is Grade II Listed and is now being converted into 10 apartments, two per floor.

Our Tunnage Square developer client has retained us for this exciting development to refurbish and convert three existing buildings that are currently vacant and boarded, to crease 21 x self-contained serviced aparthotel units, with A3 commercial units at ground floor. Among the alterations will be roof alterations to form a lightweight zinc-clad extension, which will create a modern contemporary appearance and will complement the existing brick facade. The existing brick facade will be cleaned and repaired / made good where required, to retain its original character. All windows and doors will be re-glazed in double-glazed units within timber or metal frames painted black.
